We're walking out the door of our apartment, and ahead of a us a truck is stopped in front of a boucherie (butcher) with doors wide open and blood red sides of beef stuffed inside and hanging out the back. One guy is hacking away at the rib section of one carcass while standing on the street while his partner is hauling in huge slabs of meat to the shop. File that under things you would never see in the U.S. How can you not love that?!

Make that reason number 1,254,347! And that's a really cool truck with the bars that lean the meat out...and the little computer printouts that mark (I assume) each customer's selected piece. Wow!
It's nice to be in a country with no (or very few) food hangups. Meat in the street, indeed!
Good old Paris-where meat is meat....
...and it's on the street! i know, so good, no?
